Yes you can! Add Sum-m! Spring Rolls to your BBQ menu for added flair. Just put them on the top rack and cover while you cook your main course or if you prefer, put them on the bottom rack at a lower temperature for faster results. Make sure you turn your Sum-m! Spring Rolls while cooking to ensure an even crispiness throughout.

Yes – some of our products come fresh from the deli, but they can be kept in your freezer. Both Gyozas as well as Spring Rolls freeze very well and can be reheated by following the same directions as is listed on the packaging. Spring Rolls may need to be baked a few minutes longer for added crispiness.

How can I prepare my Sum-m! Gyoza so they are the way I have them in the restaurants?

There are many ways you can prepare your Sum-m! Gyozas as purchased from your grocery store. If you are in a hurry we recommend that you microwave them. If you like your Sum-m! Gyozas crispy, you may choose to bake them. At Fine Choice Foods, we prefer the traditional method of pan-frying much like at your local Asian restaurant.

Directions for pan-frying:

1)      Heat your frying pan on high heat with one tablespoon of oil.

2)      Place 8-10 Sum-m! Gyozas face down in your frying pan

3)      Add 1/2 cup water, cover and allow to cook for 5-6 minutes or until the bottoms are crispy. Be careful not to burn the gyozas.

4)      Serve your Sum-m! Gyoza with Sum-m! Gyoza dipping sauce.

Can I make my own Spring Rolls?

Yes you can! With Sum-m! Spring Roll wrappers, spring rolls are easy to make and you can wrap them with any kind of filling you like. There is a recipe included on the Sum-m! Spring Roll Wrapper bag. When using meat, we recommend that you cook the meat before using it as a filling to ensure thorough cooking. Defrost the Spring Roll Wrappers in the bag for 1-2 hours. Once you open the bag you may wish to cover the sheets with a damp cloth to ensure they do not dry out. Follow the diagram on the bag to wrap.

There is something orange-brown and lumpy that looks like ground meat in my Vegetable Crispy Spring Rolls – What is it?

Vegetable Crispy Spring Rolls are made with soy flour – a non-meat soy bean product. It is very similar to tofu and is sometimes sold in grocery stores as a vegetarian ground beef alternative. We use it along with our special blend of vegetables to improve the taste of our filling.
