This week on the Fine Choice Foods Facebook page we’re asking our fans to tell us their favorite go to easy meal for the holiday season. Many people have shown off their favorite dishes featuring foods from noodles to soup to various kinds of stir fry.

Today we’d like to share some of our favorite go to easy meals:

Fried Rice

Best made with day old leftover rice, fried rice can be made with anything and everything. The perfect dish for leftovers, all you need to do is chop everything up, mix it in with rice, a little soy sauce and you’re set. Here are some great combinations:

Vegetable Fried Rice

Edamame Bacon Fried Rice
Peaches and Pineapple Fried Rice
Kale and Red Pepper Fried Rice

Noodle Soup

Dried noodles are a great item to keep in your pantry. With so many varieties from rice noodles to ramen to potato noodles, you have many options depending on your mood. Customize your noodles by adding different types of meats and vegetables, using whatever you have on hand. In a couple of minutes, you’ll have a quick and nutritious meal ready to go. Plus, with winter here, who doesn’t want to be slurping down something warm?

Pasta

Similar to noodle soups, pastas are also great for a quick and easy meal. Depending on what you add into it, the dish can be as simple or as fancy as you like. Use different pasta shapes and sauces for interesting textures and flavors.

Sandwiches

Who doesn’t like to enjoy a meal between two pieces of bread. Using whatever you have on hand in the fridge, build yourself a fabulous sandwich. All you need is some sort of protein, some vegetables and a spread. Bake or grill your sandwiches to give them more texture. For variety switch up the type of bread you use: bagels, waffles, wraps, croissants are all fair game.
